The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Forest is seeking an organized, positive individual to provide clerical support.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will provide clerical and office support to your assigned institution. You will be responsible for filing, typing a variety of documents, and inputting data for various departments within the institution, operate office equipment and maintaining computer databases and records.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orGraduation from high school; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Additional Requirements :
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.Must understand how to efficiently use and navigate a PCOne (1) year or more of experience with the Microsoft systems (Word / Excel / Outlook, etc.) and other software packages to create and maintain spreadsheets / calendars / documents / rosters etc.Ability to work with various office equipment such as : scanner, printer, fax machine, computer, tablet, telephone, personal communication devices etc.Previous experience working in an office setting as a clerk and or personal assistantProficient keyboarding skillsAbility to multitaskYou must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements :
