Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment with a respected national home health agency in Roanoke, VA. In this role, youll deliver personalized care to patients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and improve overall health. - Location : Roanoke, VA, and surrounding areas
- Position Type : Full-time contract
- Length : 13-week contract, with possibility of extension
- Hours : Scheduled 40 hours per week - 32guaranteed hours
- Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm
- On Call : Typically, one weekend per month
- Compensation : Negotiated directly with the client based on candidate experience and territory budget, blended pay packages available for travelers, and weekly pay
- Benefits : Medical, dental, vision, 401k
- Mileage : .38c mileage reimbursement, visit to visit, 150-250 miles per week expected
- Productivity : 25per week, up to 35 visits per week
Requirements :
Active Virginia Registered Nurse (RN)licenseActive American Red Cross or American Heart Association BLS certificationMinimum of 1 year of field home health experience required, working with adult and geriatric patientsProficiency in OASIS and Homecare Homebase software requiredOasis Certified strongly preferred, but not requiredHomecare Homebase Certified strongly preferred, but not requiredJob Duties :
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary teamProvide skilled nursing care, including wound care, medication management, IV therapy, and patient education, based on established protocols and physician ordersPerform regular patient visits to monitor health status, assess progress, and address any changes or concernsCoordinate with other healthcare professionals, including therapists, social workers, and physicians, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patientsDocument all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely manner in electronic health recordsEducate patients and their families on disease management, medication administration, self-care techniques, and safety precautionsEnsure compliance with regulatory standards, agency policies, and best practices in home health careParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and in-service training sessions to enhance clinical skills and knowledgeLocation Details : Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Roanoke, VAknown as the Star City of the Southoffers scenic outdoor adventures along the Appalachian Trail and Blue Ridge Parkway, a vibrant downtown with dining and arts, and a welcoming community, making it an ideal place to live and work.
