Developer Relations Lead – Spice AI

Building data‑driven AI applications and agents is complex, even for advanced developers. At Spice AI we simplify the journey by helping developers combine code, data, and AI to build truly intelligent, decision‑making systems. Our mission is to make this as easy as creating a modern web page.

Spice.ai OSS is a portable AI database written in Rust with a unified SQL interface to query, materialize, and accelerate data from any source, co‑located with machine learning models. By bringing compute, data, and models together, Spice OSS enables secure AI‑Feedback Loops for apps and agents to learn and adapt. We recently announced Spice.ai OSS 1.0‑stable.

We are also building the Spice.ai Cloud Platform, offering managed, cloud‑scale Spice.ai OSS along with tools for high‑performance SQL, machine learning training, and inference in an interconnected AI backend‑as‑a‑service.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a public technical face of Spice AI, leading and executing developer relations and product marketing.
• Create and share meaningful content such as samples, tutorials, documentation, and core pull‑requests.
• Engage with developers through social media, blogs, and events, collecting feedback to influence product decisions.
• Build a supportive and collaborative developer community around Spice AI and technologies such as Apache Arrow, DataFusion, Iceberg, and DuckDB.
• Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute the DevRel and Developer Marketing strategy.
• Own Spice AI’s open‑source blog, documentation, and community channels.
