This position will support the\nCentral Region. The Central Region is made up of Westwood, Century City,\nBeverly Hills and Santa Monica area, primarily in the Westwood Campus area,\nCentury City and Beverly Hills, providing patient care for our inpatient and\noutpatient settings. This position participates in on-call, holiday, and\nweekend schedules as prepared by the manager. Additionally, participation in\nrotating shifts is required, as needed.

In this role, you\nwill :

- Provide age-appropriate\n assessment and interventions in order to meet the needs of patients and\n families served
- Obtain, evaluate and use\n information from the patient requisition, medical records, referring\n physician and correlate with acquired images
- Use cognitive\n sonographic skills, to identify and differentiate anatomy and pathology
- Use independent\n judgement to produce diagnostic images of human anatomy utilizing\n diagnostic ultrasound systems for our referring providers and our\n interpreting physicians
- Extend courtesy to our\n patients, family members, visitors and co-workers through our “World Class\n Practices” Service Standards

Senior Sonographer\n(Advancement into Senior Sonographer job classification will be assessed after\n6 months with UCLA Health) :

Minimum of four years of\n prior experience within the hospital / acute care settingMust maintain Active\n RDMS certification in three specialties : Abdomen, OB-GYN and RVTProficient in Abdomen,\n OB / Gyn, Pediatric and Vascular Sonography. Additionally, proficiency\n in interventional proceduresGraduate of CAAHAP\n accredited ultrasound school is strongly preferredSalary Range : $65.55 -\n $79.93 Hourly\n \n \n \n \n

Qualifications

At least 1 year of acute\n care (hospital) experience – required\n
RDMS credential in one\n specialty (Abdomen or OBGYN) – required\n
Senior Ultrasound Technologist

4 years of prior acute\n care (hospital) experience – required (Advancement into Senior job classification\n will be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health)\n
RDMS credential in\n Abdomen, OBGYN and RVT – required\n
General Requirements
\n
BLS / CPR\n Certificate - required\n
Graduate of CAAHAP\n ultrasound program – strongly preferred\n
AAS or higher in Medical\n Sonography – preferred\n
RDMS (AB or OBGYN) –\n minimum requirement\n
Advanced skills in Vascular and / or MSK ultrasound -\n preferred\n
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact\n with patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, staff and others in a\n professional and courteous manner\n
Ability to accept and carry out oral and written\n instructions accurately\n
Ability to employ independent decision making,\n prioritize work, while handling multiple tasks to completion within\n allotted time\n
Ability to show attention to detail, accuracy and\n thoroughness\n
Basic typing skills to input various data into RIS and\n HIS Information systems.\n
Knowledge of medical terminology with the ability to\n distinguish between types of procedures within the assigned department(s)\n and medical diagnoses\n
