Purchasing Lead Advanced Sourcing (Advanced Technology)
The Purchasing Lead Advanced Sourcing (Advanced Technology) role is a senior-level position within the Global Procurement & Supply Chain function at JLG Industries, Inc. (Access Segment). Leading a high-performing team of Category Specialists and Associates, this position sets vision, develops talent, and fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ownership. Acting as a key enabler of the organization's Global Product Development and Advanced Technology adoption processes, this leader ensures sourcing strategies are developed in alignment with enterprise priorities and delivered in accordance with the Procurement Excellence strategy.
This leader plays a pivotal role in advancing JLG and Oshkosh Corporation's technology leadership in the areas of Electrification, Autonomy & Active Safety, Intelligent Products, and Factory of the Future. By developing strategic supplier partnerships, championing cost management and optimization, and leading cross-functional initiatives, this Purchasing Lead delivers value across the full product lifecycle while strengthening organizational resiliency. With strong executive presence and a People First mindset, this role elevates Global Procurement & Supply Chain as a driver of innovation, growth, and competitive advantage.

Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Category Specialists and Associates, fostering trust, ownership, and a passion for excellence
- Provide mentorship, set clear priorities, and cultivate a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement that spreads across the Global Procurement & Supply Chain function
- Drive positive employee engagement using a People First mindset, ensuring team members feel supported, valued, and aligned to organizational objectives
- Develop and maintain individual development plans for all team members and succession plans for critical roles, building a strong talent pipeline and identifying high-potential future top talent
- Provide Executive Leadership updates and presentations on key topics, balancing information sharing and guidance-seeking to ensure the team is recognized as subject-matter experts
Advanced Sourcing & Procurement Excellence
Partner cross-functionally (Engineering, Product Management, Operations, etc.) to align Sourcing Strategies with Global Product Development and Operational Footprint roadmapsAbility to quickly develop and leverage knowledge and networks for emerging product categories to anticipate trends, adapt to shifting economic pressures, and provide strategic input on use casesLead global cost reduction and total cost of ownership improvement initiatives, leveraging Procurement Excellence principles to deliver year-over-year market-leading sustainable valueChampion best-in-class sourcing practices leveraging experience, networking, research, analytics, cost modeling, market intelligence, and other methods to drive measurable positive impactsFoster co-innovation with supply base partners that accelerates time-to-market while securing meaningful Intellectual Property (IP)Negotiate and manage key agreements, such as Long-Term Supply Agreements with commercial and operational protections, Warranty Agreements with reverse logistics strategies, and Technology Development Agreements with clear deliverables, in partnership with Legal CounselLeverage Supplier Relationship Management best practices to develop multi-layer cross-functional strategic partnerships that enhances performance and innovationBuild and sustain a world-class supply base in partnership with Supplier Development and Supply Chain Solutions, consistently surpassing benchmarks in cost, delivery, capacity, quality, warranty, and program managementProgram & Risk Management
Lead critical technology selection and sourcing initiatives through Proof of Concept and Global Product Development processes, applying project management skills to ensure program successIdentify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks for assigned categories, collaborating with Supply Chain Solutions and Global Operations to address the current situation while improving future continuity of supplyLead comprehensive supplier evaluations, leveraging financial, capacity, and quality audits, as well as other assessments, to identify risks and support informed decision-making processesEnterprise Alignment
Serve as the Access Segment representative on the Oshkosh Advanced Sourcing Global Council, driving initiatives that uncover synergies, standardize best practices, and leverage organizational scale to enhance project success, accelerate innovation, and generate enterprise-wide valueMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with six (6) or more years of relevant experience in Category Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a related field.OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to travel up to 25%; including internationalWillingness to work in an in-office environmentStandout Qualifications

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
