Overview
We are partnering with a long-established, financially stable Division 8 manufacturer and supplier specializing in commercial doors, frames, and architectural openings. With nearly five decades in business and recent significant investment in new manufacturing capabilities, the company is focused on expanding and strengthening its commercial hardware offering. This role is mission-critical to that growth and offers long-term stability, autonomy, and impact for the right technical expert.
The Role
The Division 8 Technical Project Manager will own commercial hardware projects from bid invitation through closeout , serving as the internal subject matter expert for Division 8 hardware. Reporting into senior leadership, this individual will work closely with estimating, sales, and operations teams to ensure accurate detailing, coordination, and execution of projects. Success in this role means elevating the company’s technical hardware capabilities while delivering projects on time, on spec, and with strong client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage Division 8 projects cradle-to-grave, from bid invitation through project closeout.
Perform commercial hardware estimating, detailing, and coordination.
Interpret and apply Division 8 specifications and DHI standards.
Serve as the internal technical expert for commercial door hardware.
Collaborate closely with sales, estimating, and operations teams to support project delivery.
Coordinate hardware schedules, submittals, and approvals.
Support installation coordination and resolve technical field issues as needed.
Contribute to the growth and improvement of the company’s commercial hardware capabilities.
Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Strong experience in commercial door hardware within Division 8.
Proven ability to manage projects from estimating through installation and closeout.
Background may include project management, estimating, detailing, specification writing, keying, or technical installation.
Deep knowledge of Division 8 products, specifications, and workflows.
Familiarity with DHI standards and processes .
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Technically savvy, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
Nice to Have :
DHI certifications such as DHC (Door Hardware Consultant) or AHC (Architectural Hardware Consultant) .
Experience working with manufacturers, distributors, or specialty contractors in Division 8.
Salary
Competitive Compensation. Compensation structure is negotiable to attract top talent.
Location
On-site role based in Tulsa, OK .
Strong preference for candidates in the Tulsa or Oklahoma City metro areas.
Relocation assistance may be considered for the ideal candidate.
Remote work is not preferred but may be considered for exceptional, highly specialized talent.
