Job description

Located in Middlebury, Vermont, Porter Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist. This is a full-time, benefitted, and exempt position that will be scheduled for 10 nights per 28-day period.  Typical shifts will be from 6pm to 6am with some on-call coverage required.  Our Nocturnists must be able to work independently thus the ideal candidate will have at least two years of APP experience.

  • We admit adult patients and have a Long-Term Care and Post-Acute Rehabilitation facility on-site.
  • Radiology services are available 24 / 7, including CT, ultrasound, and weekday MRI services.
  • Our location is 35 miles from UVM Medical Center in Burlington VT, with efficient EMS protocols for patient transfers.

    Requirements

    NP / PA graduated from accredited program.

    1 year hospitalist experience or 2 years Family Practice or ER experience

    BLS

    ACLS

    Active State license in good standing
