General Summary :

Sound Transit's Enterprise Architecture (EA) division is a strategy and planning function within the agency. EA serves to help the Sound Transit business units develop and understand their business needs and how to achieve them, especially as it relates to technology. Demand has surpassed EA capacity, necessitating a need to more broadly advise subsequent projects without having to put "hands on". To support this goal, EA is formalizing and standardizing the technology guidance that is repeatedly issued and packaging these items into a more formal document to make it more of a self-service foundational document for IT projects, as well as making it more accessible to groups outside of IT. Sound Transit is looking for an experienced enterprise or solutions architect to apply their industry experience to develop these individual "guidance items", with the assistance the EA team, from the idea kernel into a structured, consumable product. This role will :

Minimum Qualifications :

Education & Experience : At least 5 years' experience as Solutions Architect or Enterprise Architect. Experience in working collaboratively with both business and technical stakeholders to rapidly understand new technology environments, and the business requirements and processes that overlap with them. Experience working in public agency environment is preferred.

Required Licenses or Certifications :

Required Knowledge of : Architectural modeling (TOGAF, Archimate, or equivalent)

Required Skill in :

Writing presentations to technical and non-technical audiences Architecting and modeling enterprise systems.
