The Neonatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) plays a critical role in providing specialized patient care by utilizing advanced clinical skills and knowledge. The NP is responsible for assessing and managing neonates with complex health needs, collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality family-centered care. This role involves ordering diagnostic tests, implementing treatment plans, and providing essential care to newborns and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments and comprehensive physical examinations of neonates.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Administer medications, perform minor procedures, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Provide leadership and support during clinical procedures, enhancing workflow and patient care.
• Mentor and guide new staff and medical trainees to promote a collaborative learning environment.
