Description :

The unit features 32 individual patient rooms.

The nursing staff consists of approximately 50 team members.

During the day shift, the staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6 RNs, 1-2 LPNs, 3 PCTs, and 1 HUC.

Night shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 5 RNs, 1-2 LPNs, 2 PCTs, and 1 HUC.

Patient ratios are 5 : 1 on day shifts, with a potential stretch of 6 : 1.

Night shifts maintain a 6 : 1 patient ratio with a possible stretch of 7 : 1.

Type of equipment utilized includes walkers, bedside commodes, bladder scanners, CPM machines, sky lifts, Sara Stedy lifts, Maxi Move devices, vital sign machines, hover mats, bair huggers, and wheelchairs.

The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner.

Typical procedures performed on the unit involve dressing changes, suture / staple removal, Foley catheter insertion, NG tube placements, and wound vac maintenance and removal.

Candidates should be team players with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Compassionate care is expected, as we aim to treat our patients like family.

Every other weekend commitment is required.

Dress code for RNs is navy scrubs.

PCTs are required to wear galaxy blue scrubs.

LPNs will wear sage green scrubs.
