A Snapshot of Your Day
This is a fast-paced job that works at customer
sites to support the energy industry in many different welding and turbine repair
applications. Jobs very from welding support to blading on varies components.
You will be expected to travel domestically and internationally, potentially on
short notice.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Perform machining
operations on turbine & generator equipment.
Set-up &
operation of both stationary and portable lathes, milling, boring, grinding,
and drilling machines.
Use all types of
precision measuring tools.
Basic PC / Laptop
skills for using our timekeeping and expense systems, as well as email usage.
Read and interpret
drawings, schematics, and charts.
What You Bring
High School Diploma
and Certificate in Machining Technology - Minimum 2 years technical / trad e school or apprentice program in machining / manu facturing or equivalent experience.
Flexibility and willingness
for HEAVY TRAVEL (75% or more) all business travel expenses are paid Qualified
candidates must be able to pass an extended background check to obtain
un-escorted nuclear plant access (to include drug screen and extensive
background investigation) .
Willing to obtain
a passport to support our customers that are abroad.
Ability and
willingness to lift 50 pounds required.
Ability and
willingness to work a high percentage of overtime (including 12-hour shifts) on
various shifts arrangements
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission
power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission
power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and
generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings,
modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
