Job Title : Quality Control & Operations Admin
Pay : $19.00-$19.50 / hour (starting wage)
Status : Office / Greenhouse Worker; Full-time hourly non-exempt
Schedule : 7 : 00AM start time 5-6 days a week. All candidates must have Saturday & Sunday availability.
As a QC Operations Admin, you are responsible for inventory flow, quality, and counting plant material in the greenhouse for the operations and production departments. An ideal candidate would have great attention to detail and some background using computer software for inventory or tracking purposes. The ideal candidate for this position would understand the flow of product within the greenhouse and assist operation teams with identifying potential problems before they happen by providing the teams with timely and accurate information.
This position is one of two QC Operations Admins at the North facility that work within the inventory and controls functions, and this position reports directly to the Site Manager. The hours for this position may vary based on greenhouse needs. Schedules are determined by the Site Manager; during the peak season (January-May) it is typical for workers in the Operations Department to work 40-55+ hours per week. (This is reduced to 30-45 hours per week based on production for the remainder of the year).
Essential Functions / Duties :
Quality Control : checking the quality of products based on necessary spec, and report issues to the Site Manager.
Grade :
Reporting : Responsible for completion of all 5-Day and 10-Day Reporting
Locations : Assist Production and Inventory teams by tracking location of plant products by tray within the greenhouse and pair the information with a specific order / customer and ship week.
Inventory Verifications : Respond to inquiries from Inventory and the Young Plants Business departments to physically verify numbers within the greenhouse. (Typical verifications are regarding 10-Day counts, and work orders.) On the last week of each month verify map locations and count all products to ensure accuracy of the map information. Communicate schedule of inventory counts, any issues, and completion
Soil samples : Collect samples from growers of dirt, plants, water, and chemicals and process them for research purposes and / or third-party companies.
In addition to the above responsibilities, this position may be required to assist with various projects or other functions around the greenhouse as needed and directed by Operations Manager. This includes being cross-trained in the Inventory and Operations departments to assist with inventory / sow verifications, germination, weekly / monthly inventory, etc. Support other operations teams as needed (depending on greenhouse needs, this position will assist with jimmy tags and collation verification). This position also may be required to assist with receiving, shipping, and plant maintenance functions within the operation and maintenance teams based on greenhouse needs.
