Position Summary / Department Summary :

This full-time social work position is part of a vibrant, multidisciplinary team within the Division of Adolescent / Young Adult Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital. The social worker will serve a key role in the outpatient Eating Disorders Program, providing clinical care and case coordination to adolescents and young adults with eating disorder diagnoses in an integrated, fast-paced medical setting.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conducting psychosocial evaluations for patients presenting with eating disorder symptoms
• Providing ongoing individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches
• Supporting patients and families with intensive care coordination, service navigation, care team collaboration, resource information, referrals, and crisis intervention as needed
• Collaborating closely with medical, nutrition, and mental health colleagues as part of a comprehensive care team
• Participating in interdisciplinary case consultation and care coordination
• Contributing one weekly 4-hour daytime shift to the outpatient Adolescent / Young Adult Clinic's mental health on-call service
