Director of Open Source Program Office

A company is looking for a Director of the Open Source Program Office (OSPO).

Key Responsibilities

Define the company's Open Source Strategy and long-term roadmap for engagement and contributions

Build and lead the centralized Open Source Program Office, overseeing policy and engagement goals

Engage with open source foundations and communities, serving as the primary liaison and representing the company in open forums

Required Qualifications

10+ years in engineering, product, or developer relations roles, with 3+ years leading open source programs

Proven experience managing OSPO functions at a technology company

Deep understanding of open source licensing and compliance frameworks

Excellent knowledge of the Apache Software Foundation ecosystem and governance

Experience coordinating across Legal, Security, Engineering, and Product organizations in distributed teams
