Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting project teams, and partnering with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone with construction accounting experience who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and subcontractor payments
• Manage accounts receivable and cash receipts
• Maintain subcontractor documentation (e.g., lien waivers, contracts)
• File sales & use tax returns (DC, MD, VA)
• Perform monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Oversee invoice workflow and ensure proper routing for approvals
• Support year-end audit with external accounting firm
• Conduct weekly check runs for miscellaneous payables
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency across accounting functions
• Maintain adherence to internal controls
