Responsibilities Work in an acute inpatient rehab unit Typical patients include those with stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries Patient ratios are 1 : 5 during days and 1 : 12 at night Requires use of Hoyer Lift and sit-to-stand lift equipment Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00pm to 7 : 00am) Weekend coverage is required every other weekend Floating to medical-surgical units is required EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement Provide nursing care to patients recovering from neurological and spinal cord injuries Work as part of a multidisciplinary rehab team Block scheduling will be considered but is not guaranteed No more than 1 week of requested time off is permitted per contract Three called-off shifts permitted per 13-week assignment All required training modules must be completed prior to start Return staff must have at least a 1 year break before reapplying Requirements Active NY RN license required at time of consideration Current BLS certification required At least 1 year of acute rehab hospital RN experience required Experience with CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) patients required EPIC EMR experience required Locals within 75 miles are not accepted Pending license candidates not accepted First-time travelers are accepted for this position Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-636658.
