Job Summary
The IT Sr. Project Manager is responsible for planning and leading diverse technical projects and matrixed teams : managing scope, schedule, budget, technical execution, and deployment. Additionally, the IT Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with vendors, instilling best practices interdepartmentally, and coordinating technical business engagement in assigned functional areas. Working with industry engineers, lean six sigma or total quality is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities :
Requirement Discovery : Ask insightful questions to clarify and deepen understanding of project requirements
Project Coordination : Oversee the overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts
Resource & Vendor Collaboration : Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure flawless project execution
Process Implementation : Establish and apply project management methodologies and processes to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, high-quality standards, and customer satisfaction
Planning & Monitoring : Develop detailed project plans and work assignments; monitor daily progress, identify resource needs, document requirements, conduct quality reviews, and escalate issues as needed
Milestone Tracking : Track key project milestones and adjust plans or resources to meet evolving customer needs
Stakeholder Communication : Facilitate clear and consistent communication between technical teams, suppliers, business stakeholders, and executive leadership
Risk Management : Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Vendor Engagement Oversight : Manage vendor relationships and projects involving third-party solutions and custom applications, including oversight of contracts and statements of work
Defining What success looks like for the project
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent work experience; an Advanced Degree is preferred
Minimum of 7 years’ IT leadership or technical Project Management experience with initiatives of sufficient scale
Minimum 10 to 15 years of overall experience delivering technological solutions.
Project Management or equivalent certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is required
Well-versed in different development methodologies – Waterfall, Agile and Adaptive
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills to interface with business partners, vendors and the general technical community
Self-starter and demonstrated success at identifying / leading solutions that solve business problems
Ability to listen, influence the opinions and approach of business and technical team members
Ability to guide others on project standards, principles, methodology, and trends
Extensive experience in translating business requirements into practical solutions. This requires considering the impact to the business along with the long-term costs and complexity of the technology
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across technical areas and business units
Experience with diverse 3rd party software and development tools, ranging from ERP
solutions to custom web development and mobile technologies
Experience with best-of-breed software solutions and cloud services
Physical Demands / Requirements :
Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cellphone, and printers / copiers
Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of the time
Operates in an office environment and requires in-person presence
Work Environment :
Work is conducted in a professional office environment, with a collaborative and dynamic team setting, and requires in-person presence
