Job description

A prominent Texas-based law firm is seeking a Litigation Intake Associate Attorney to join its Austin office. This full-time role is ideal for newly licensed or early-career attorneys interested in personal injury law. The position involves client intake, early case development, legal analysis, and participation in pre-litigation and initial litigation matters.

Duties

Conduct client intakes and assess legal matters for viability
Analyze legal issues and draft initial case strategies
Review demands and participate in negotiations with opposing counsel
Oversee the transition of cases into litigation
Ensure timely and ethical disbursement of client funds
Maintain regular communication with clients and legal team
Manage assigned caseload and documentation
Uphold professional standards and adhere to legal ethics

Requirements

0–3 years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation preferred

Must have a valid Texas driver's license and good driving record

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing

Skills

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Excellent client communication and interpersonal abilities

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to multitask and manage deadlines

Proficiency in managing documentation and case files efficiently

Compensation and Benefits

Guaranteed commission on all attorney's fees collected ("Every Case Counts" Plan)

$10,000 retention bonus after the first year
