Job description

Environmental Service Worker

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Environmental Service Worker to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across various facilities. The role involves cleaning assigned areas according to established standards, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Clean assigned areas, including offices, hallways, and entrances, by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Polish furniture, fixtures, and trimmings to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Report any items needing repair and hazardous conditions to the supervisor for prompt resolution.
  • Follow established antiseptic techniques and use appropriate solutions for cleaning fixtures and restrooms.
  • Gather and dispose of trash, wash, and reline waste containers.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and applicable obligations during business operations.
  • Work safely according to established operating procedures and practices.
  • Clean carpets as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Valid driver's license if operating a company vehicle.
  • Proficiency in using power equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and lift above shoulders.
  • Capability to work independently and extend hours as required.

    Work Environment

    The work environment consists of very large commercial buildings, with approximately 30 buildings on site. The role requires adaptability to work across various locations and adhere to safety protocols.

    This is a contract to hire position based out of Poway, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
