JOB SUMMARY : The Warehouse Supervisor 1st Shift is responsible for managing warehouse receiving, replenishment, loading and other related warehouse operations during the 1st shift. This role requires a proactive leader who can optimize processes, manage teams and other leads effectively, and ensure the safe and efficient handling of goods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Oversee 1st shift warehouse operations, Monday through Friday (with seasonal weekend shifts) ensuring all teams meet daily objectives.
- Manage and provide direction to all leads and team members within receiving, replenishment, picking and loading.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure smooth operations for all warehouse functions.
- Ensure the receiving lead is effectively scheduling their team and has the tools and resources needed to complete their duties efficiently.
- Oversee replenishment processes across all departments.
- Provide daily task lists to the replenishment staff and conduct midday and end-of-day status checks to ensure the facility is prepared for the night crew.
- Ensure all bins are fully stocked and ready for the next shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring all trash is emptied and discards are processed daily.
- Ensure the warehouse is properly setup for 2nd shift picking and loading.
- Prepare and send the daily end-of-shift report, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in managing assignments within a WMS system
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirement :
Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role, preferably in the food industry.Exceptional leadership, organizational, team-building, and problem-solving skills.Familiarity in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards, especially in food handling.High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.Key Competencies :
