Job descriptionOversee inventory valuation, reconciliations, and transaction audits. Assist with year-end physical inventory audits. Partner with operations, procurement, and finance teams to align cost strategies and support business decisions. Provide insights into cost drivers and recommend cost-saving initiatives. Jump in on other accounting or operations projects as needed. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred). 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or operations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to juggle multiple priorities across departments. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel. Experience in a manufacturing environment? Even better.
We're looking for a Senior Cost Analyst to join a growing manufacturing operation in North County . This direct hire role is ideal for someone who thrives on digging into the details of cost data, collaborating cross-functionally, and helping leadership make informed decisions backed by solid analysis.
What You'll Do
Cost Analysis & Reporting
- Compile and analyze manufacturing and operational reports for costs, variances, and trends.
- Compare standard material and labor costs to actuals; investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Post standard cost of goods for month-end close and prepare cost of goods sold (COGS) reports.
