Role highlights
- Program and optimize CMM routines in PC‑DMIS and MCOSMOS for complex, machined geometries.
- Translate CAD models, drawings, specs, and standards into robust inspection strategies.
- Engineer fixturing and setups to maximize measurement accuracy and repeatability.
- Verify inspections and tests for conformance to drawings / specifications.
- Execute MSA and gage R&R to validate measurement systems.
- Author and sustain control plans, inspection plans, FAI documentation, and PPAP packages.
- Confirm project / process control documentation meets customer, regulatory, and contract requirements.
- Partner cross-functionally with engineers, machinists, and QC to resolve nonconformances.
- Keep the lab and shop areas organized and safe; follow company safety practices.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
Qualifications
Quality Engineer background (or similar); Engineering degree preferred.3+ years of CMM programming experience.Deep knowledge of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and inspection methods.Familiar with ISO 9001 and AS9100 systems.Proven work in manufacturing quality inspection / assurance.Competent with statistical tools such as Minitab and SPC for data analysis.Effective under pressure; able to work independently with minimal oversight.Collaborative mindset and drive for excellence.Education & experience requirements
Associate degree in an engineering discipline (required); Bachelor’s preferred.5+ years relevant experience (required).Supplier Quality experience with aerospace machining suppliers.Demonstrated deployment / management of PPAP.Strong program / project management and communication skills.Core strengths
