Pay Information $2,846 per week About The Position Job Title : Cardiovascular Operating Room RN Profession : RN Specialty : Cardiovascular Surgery Duration : 26 Weeks Shift : Daytime / Flexible with Cases Hours per Shift : 4x10 Weekly Experience : 2 Years License : Required Certifications : ACLS Required Must-Have Skills / Experience : CABGs Lungs (Robot and Laparoscopic) Endoscopic and Open Vascular cases Carotid Endarterectomies Valve replacements Aneurysm repairs Description : The position involves circulating Cardiothoracic and Vascular cases. You will support two cardiovascular surgeons. You will involve patients and / or significant others in decisions regarding care. Patient handoffs must utilize patient safety tools such as SBAR and Report at Bedside. Maintaining effective communication through the chain of command is essential. You will communicate subjective and objective data about the patient and their family with appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team. Staying up to date on unit huddles, email, and other unit-based communications is necessary. Completing required nursing competencies, mandatory in-services, and relevant certifications within the required timeframe is crucial. You will utilize professional literature to implement evidence-based practice in decision-making and share knowledge with coworkers. Maintaining relevant knowledge and following policies and procedures is expected. You will readily accept professional accountability to resolve issues related to patient care or operational issues. Delegation, guidance, and direction of unlicensed healthcare providers and LPNs in tasks are part of your role. You will appropriately interpret and utilize diagnostic, laboratory, and monitoring data. Taking call or working weekend shifts may be required by department needs. Knowledge of Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgical equipment is necessary. You should be proficient in EPIC charting tools, such as OpTime.
