About This Opportunity
Schedule / Hours : Seasonal Full Time, November and December 2025
This position is responsible for :
Delivers kettles to assigned retail locations within Wake County and picks up kettles at the end of each shift. Provides transportation for paid Bell Ringers to and from assigned location.
Key Responsibilities :
- Delivers empty kettles and picks up filled kettles at the end of each shift.
- Provides transportation for paid Bell Ringers from The Salvation Army church on Wake Forest Rd. to assigned retail locations.
- Follows routes assigned by Kettle Coordinator.
- Ensures paid Bell Ringers along assigned route are following The Salvation Army Bell Ringing policies. Report issues to the Kettle Coordinator.
- Drives Salvation Army vehicle to homes, agencies, churches, and any other designated location to pick up gifts, stockings, etc. to take to the Christmas warehouse.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.Ability to drive a large van or minibus.Ability to use a smart phone and follow map routes.Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and / or push / pull moderate (25 50 lbs) and possibly heavy (50-100 lbs) materials and donations.Work is performed in a vehicle with exposure to outdoor temperatures and a warehouse with exposure to dirt, dust and / or disagreeable sights and orders.What We Are Looking For In You :
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required. Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
