A well known financial institution in the area is seeking a Lead Teller.
You will act as a trusted advisor and resource for both clients and branch staff. This role involves resolving complex client service issues, supporting financial wellness conversations, and ensuring operational effectiveness. Lead Tellers also provide coaching to Tellers, manage scheduling and staffing, and uphold compliance, regulatory, and audit standards while delivering exceptional client experiences.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a key resource for resolving complex client servicing issues and enhancing client relationships.
- Lead day-to-day teller line operations, including scheduling, coaching, and ensuring compliance with regulations and audit controls.
- Observe and coach tellers to improve client experience and branch effectiveness.
- Uncover client financial needs and transition them to Bankers for deeper financial wellness conversations.
- Support onboarding and training of new Tellers; participate in daily huddles and debriefs.
- Ensure teller functions are performed accurately while maintaining compliance, audit, and security procedures.
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated superior client relationship skills.Minimum 3 years of experience in cash handling.Strong PC skills with Windows-based applications and calculator.Proven ability to lead, motivate, and foster teamwork.Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.Notary License preferred.Required Education
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required).Work Environment
Consumer retail setting with prolonged standing (5-8 hours / day).Frequent hand use, communication with clients, occasional bending / lifting up to 30 lbs.Occasional driving required; valid driver’s license needed.
