You will work directly with our Audubon students with frequent behaviors in a school setting that is located in Norristown, PA

Shift : Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52 week year round position)

Everyday as a Behavior Support Specialist you will :

• Provide behavior management support to individuals in a school setting.
• Carry out specific interventions that are developed by the Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Transfer skills to individuals’ natural support in the least restrictive environment.
• Support teachers in managing student behavior

Devereux Day Academy is a private academic school program located in Norristown, PA. Devereux Day Academy is licensed to serve students in grades K-8 who have been identified with the following primary disabilities : Intellectual Disability, Autism, Emotional Disturbance, Specific Learning Disability, and Speech or Language Impairment. The core curriculum has been aligned with the Pennsylvania Core Standards, as well as the curricula of our partner school districts. This alignment will facilitate smooth transitions to and from the program for your students. The goal of the curriculum is to provide students with learning experiences that foster increased engagement and success through differentiated instruction, evidence-based instructional strategies, and rigorous learning expectations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION : Registered Behavior Technician certification or RBT eligible; required.. Bachelor’s degree in a human service field preferred.

EXPERIENCE : At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents with behavior challenges preferred.
