Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Paramedic to join our Emergency Medical Services team in Hickory County. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the department : CMH Emergency Medical Services provides ambulance services to three counties in Southwest Missouri : Polk, Hickory, and St. Clair. Services include 9-1-1 emergency response and non-emergency medical transport. Ambulances are equipped with advanced medical life support for adult and pediatric patients. CMH Pre-Hospital Services is certified as pediatric-ready by Missouri EMS for Children. CMH is recognized as a high-quality care provider for time-critical diagnosis of trauma, heart attack, stroke and sepsis. Ambulances are staffed by EMTs and paramedics who are licensed and certified to provide exceptional and compassionate care.

A typical day includes : Responding to emergency calls to provide treatment and care to patients of all ages.

• Preparing and maintaining ambulances, equipment, and inventory of supplies
• Assessing and determining scene safety, and / or utilizing community / organizational resources to assure scene safety
• Initiating advanced life support and making an accurate initial assessment of patients' conditions
• Transporting patients, utilizing other methods of transportation, or relinquishing patient care as per state guidelines and / or medical control
• Documenting a complete assessment on each patient examined, using understandable language and / or organization-approved abbreviations

Job Requirements :

The position is : Full-time - 24-hour shifts from 8 : 00 a.m. - 8 : 00 a.m.
