Position Overview

As a Freight Account Executive, you will play a key role in growing our customer base and deepening relationships with current clients. You’ll act as a sales hunter, customer relationship manager, and logistics problem-solver all in one. Your success will be driven by your ability to source freight, build trust, and manage freight execution from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development

Prospect and onboard new customers via calls, emails, networking, and referrals.

  • Manage a sales pipeline and hit weekly / monthly sales goals.
  • Understand client needs and tailor transportation solutions accordingly.
  • Account Management
  • Build long-term relationships with customers through responsive service and consistent communication.

  • Maintain knowledge of customers’ lanes, volumes, seasonality, and service preferences.
  • Operational Coordination
  • Work closely with dispatch, carrier sales, and customer service to ensure loads are covered and delivered on time.

  • Monitor shipments proactively and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Provide rate quotes, negotiate pricing, and secure capacity.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Ensure accurate data entry of all load and customer information into TMS.

  • Maintain required documentation in accordance with DOT and company policies.
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in freight brokerage, trucking, logistics sales, or 3PL.
  • Strong book of business is a plus (but not required).
  • Self-starter with a competitive spirit and results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
  • Experience working with TMS platforms and CRM systems.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
