The Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for engineering activities to develop processes, define controls, and implementing effective variability reduction efforts in manufacturing areas.
Essential Functions
- Develop manufacturing processes, establish control measures, and implement effective variability and cost reduction strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective execution of preventative maintenance on critical equipment.
- Implement automated solutions to enhance operator safety, reduce process variation, and improve overall process reliability.
- Perform daily audits to ensure adherence to established procedures on the manufacturing floor.
- Update and revise area procedures to improve clarity and minimize process variation.
- Analyze data to identify root causes and eliminate process excursions.
- Conduct engineering trials to assess improvements in processes, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in cost reduction, continuous improvement, and new part introduction (NPI) initiatives as needed.
- Drive process improvements to reduce scrap and rework rates.
- Collaborate with all levels of manufacturing, management, suppliers, and customers.
- Provide hands-on, floor-level support for investigations and problem-solving.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
