Social Media Marketing Specialist

We are currently seeking candidates for a Social Media Marketing Specialist opportunity with a highly successful financial services firm located in Boston, MA. The Social Media Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing strategic and engaging social media content across multiple platforms, including TikTok, Meta, YouTube, and Reddit. The candidate will partner with internal and external teams to drive awareness and engagement, ensuring compliance with industry and brand standards. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of social media, marketing, and social strategy experience in financial services.

This is a 12+ month contract opportunity, paying between $30-$35 / hour (depending on experience).

Responsibilities :

Spearhead multi-platform social media strategies that drive audience engagement and promote brand awareness.

Develop impactful, channel-specific social media messaging in collaboration with visual design teams.

Contribute to campaign planning by providing strategic insights and creative input.

Oversee project execution, handling schedules, outputs, and communication among internal stakeholders, agency collaborators, and compliance teams.

Partner with external agencies to align paid, organic, and influencer efforts for cohesive messaging.

Monitor evolving social conversations and trends to refine content strategies and spot innovative opportunities for engagement.

Collaborate with paid media, influencer, and organic teams to maintain consistent messaging and optimize performance across platforms like Meta, Reddit, TikTok, and YouTube (via DV360).

Participate in and facilitate meetings centered around strategic planning, campaign performance, and creative ideation.

Support end-to-end influencer marketing initiatives, from developing strategy and managing outreach to analyzing performance.

Coordinate with compliance and traffic teams to ensure all assets are reviewed, approved, and delivered on time.

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (required).

3-5+ years of experience in social media marketing and / or at a marketing agency, focusing on financial services or investment management industry.

Hands-on experience managing campaigns across multiple platforms, including Meta, Reddit, YouTube (DV360), and TikTok.

Strong experience in crafting social media copy and working closely with web / graphic designers and creative teams.

Familiarity with investment management topics and knowledge of the financial advisory marketplace.

Detail-oriented with strong project management, organizational, and communication skills, able to lead strategy and reporting meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.

Proficient in social-first copywriting, with a willingness to complete strategy and copywriting exercises.

Experience in planning and executing influencer marketing strategies preferred.
