Job Description
Position Summary : The production line operator is responsible for inspecting, operating, and supervising machinery and equipment on the production line to ensure efficient production flow. They must report any machinery safety issues to their immediate Supervisor. Machinery should never be operated in unsafe conditions or without safety guards. The role involves monitoring processes, adjusting as needed according to manufacturing specifications, and always maintaining quality and safety standards. The operator will also be responsible for receiving staff and assigning tasks. They must ensure proper training is provided to each person working under their supervision.
Below are some of the requirements and duties for the Line Operator position.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Inspect assigned machinery – complete Inspection Report PD.063.
- Verify Production schedules – for the production scheduled for the specific day.
- Check manufacturing specifications and ensure instructions are correctly followed.
- Operate and maintain machinery and equipment on the production line, ensuring they function efficiently.
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments to maintain quality and performance.
- Perform regular inspections of products to ensure they meet established quality standards.
- Identify and resolve issues with machinery or production processes promptly.
- Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following safety rules and regulations.
- Record and report production data, such as downtime and quality issues. Digital reports must be completed daily.
- Participate in preventive and corrective machinery maintenance and equipment calibration.
- Understand that Company regulations apply to all staff.
