In this role, you will :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform various treatments and special tests, ensuring compliance with company policy and local / state / federal regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
- Assess patient needs and responses to care while applying sound nursing judgment in patient management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as ordered, including over-the-counter and prescription drugs.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide ancillary personnel and uphold high standards of professional nursing.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduation from a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).Current New York State Registered Nurse license.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is required.Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving tools, with the ability to apply them for quality improvement in patient care.We appreciate your interest in joining Albany Medical Center!
