The CNC Technician is responsible for the setup of CNC tooling for production, troubleshooting issues with machines and processes and helping develop solutions, and making quality adjustments. This position is responsible for inventory control of CNC tooling and continual improvement of CNC processes. Works directly with CNC Engineering.
This shift is F shift (8p-6a).
Perform all tasks requested by the Supervisor / Manager or other management personnel.
Essential Functions :
- Responsible for rebuilding all CNC tools used in production using blueprints and automated pre-setter
- Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces
- Communicates with supervisors, engineers, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
- Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and performing basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment.
- Work with maintenance personnel to troubleshoot CNC machine issues.
- Recover CNC machines from a faulted state.
- Perform tool changes on CNC machines. (worn, end of life, or broken)
- Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
Minimum requirements (training, experience, education) :
