Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Certifications & Requirements Certifications Required : BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) License : California RN license (must be active or willing to obtain) BSN Required : No Experience Required : Must have Charge RN / RN Shift Manager experience Cerner EMR experience preferred Unit & Patient Details Nurse : Patient Ratio : 1 : 5 (typical for MedSurg) Common Diagnoses : General MedSurg : GYN, appendectomy, cholecystectomy Spine surgeries, total hip / knee replacements Urology, colectomies Chronic / acute medical conditions No telemetry patients on this unit RNs do not read tele strips or titrate drips No ICU-level or vented patients on this unit RT Equipment : Not applicable on this unit Aides : 1 per shift if census is high
