Maine Health Oral Oncolytic Team is seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist to join their team. This opportunity allows the Prior Authorization Specialist to join a highly collaborative, patient-centered, fun group. Day-to-day duties include partnering with Oral Oncology Pharmacists , Oral Oncolytic Nurse Navigators, and the multidisciplinary Oncology Care Team on prior authorization related tasks : initiating prior authorizations, following-up on status, prior authorization renewals, etc. The selected candidate must be available to train on site in Southern Maine. Once onboarded, this will be a hybrid position. For this position, we are specifically seeking candidates who have prior pharmacy and / or healthcare experience. The Prior Authorization Specialist role verifies medication-related insurance eligibility, benefits, verification, prior authorization and researches medication denials to ensure payments are processed on a timely basis.
