The Vice President of Facilities will lead a comprehensive facilities management strategy that supports the organization's mission and operational goals. This executive will oversee a multi-state, multi-facility portfolio encompassing hundreds of thousands of square feet of space, ensuring each site operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment with business needs. They will be a hands-on, working executive, leading a team of facilities professionals while actively engaging in the day-to-day realities of maintenance, capital planning, vendor management, and expansion initiatives. The VP will drive innovation in building systems, asset management, and preventive maintenance while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the overall strategy, operations, and performance of all facilities across multiple states and markets.
  • Direct a team responsible for maintenance, operations, safety, and capital improvements for all facilities.
  • Develop and manage an annual operating and capital budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.
  • Oversee master planning, construction, renovation, and expansion of facilities to support organizational growth.
  • Partner with internal leaders and external vendors to manage large-scale projects and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate service contracts, and ensure high-quality performance across all facility partners.
  • Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to extend asset life and reduce operational risks.
  • Lead emergency preparedness, life-safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives across all facilities.
  • Identify opportunities for technology adoption, sustainability, and process improvement to optimize facility performance.
  • Promote a culture of service, responsiveness, and accountability within the facilities team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive facilities leadership experience.
  • Proven experience overseeing multiple facilities across various states or regions.
