MECHANICAL ENGINEER - EIT/PE - PIPE STRESS ANAYSIS - URGENT NEED!!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform Pipe Stress Analysis utilizing software such as CAESAR II, NozzlePro, etc.
- Work with the project team to design a cohesive, technically acceptable, and optimized piping system.
- Perform detailed reviews of piping isometrics, piping plans, pipe specifications, P&IDs, and other design documents
- Confirm and review applicable codes and standards such as, but not limited to, the IBC, ASME, API, PIP and NFPA.
- Establish and document the mechanical systems basis of design and in doing so provide clarification, qualifications and design assumptions regarding relevant design issues.
- Develop scopes of work based on RFPs and pre-bid meetings with clients.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from ABET accredited program required.
- 5+ years industry experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain your PE within the first year of employment.
- Experience with Design/Build and EPC projects.
- Experience leading teams of engineers on design projects.
- Client projects for this position require Citizenship.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Pipe stress analysis experience utilizing software such as CAESAR II.
- Significant experience designing and installing retrofits and upgrades at manufacturing, industrial, and shipbuilding facilities.
- HVAC and plumbing design for industrial facilities.
- Knowledge of ASME and ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel codes, PIP and API codes.
- Experience in managing personnel and project engineering.
