Job descriptionMonitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and authorizations of individuals entering and exiting the premises. Assist with visitor and vendor management processes, following site-specific procedures for check-in and check-out. Help to deter unauthorized entry and / or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence at access points. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to observe for unusual conditions and / or security-related concerns. Report and document all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies. Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with inquiries while upholding access control procedures. Support emergency response activities as required by site-specific policies and Allied Universal guidelines. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Security Professional - Distribution Center - Full Time
As a Security Professional in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment within a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances and exits, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to promote a positive atmosphere. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
