We are seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with a strong background in surgical nursing and anesthesia to join our growing specialty and emergency team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a surgical technician who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to contribute to cutting-edge procedures and patient outcomes.

Here is What Your day May Consist of :

  • Provide skilled technical support during specialty and emergency surgeries , including orthopedic, soft tissue, and critical procedures.
  • Perform anesthetic induction, maintenance, and monitoring , adjusting as needed for patient safety and comfort.
  • Prepare surgical suites and patients for procedures, maintaining sterile technique and ensuring proper instrument handling.
  • Oversee post-operative recovery and pain management , closely monitoring patient vitals and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with veterinarians, fellow technicians, and clients to support optimal patient care.
  • Maintain detailed surgical and anesthesia records, logs, and treatment notes.
  • Assist in surgical equipment sterilization and inventory management .
  • Support training and mentorship of veterinary assistants and junior technicians as needed.

Here is What You Will Bring to the Position :

  • Current LVT license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Minimum 2 years of surgical or specialty experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in anesthesia protocols, emergency response, and critical care procedures.
  • Comfort working with a variety of species and complex medical conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient advocacy.
  • Weekend / holiday on-call is required
