We are seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with a strong background in surgical nursing and anesthesia to join our growing specialty and emergency team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a surgical technician who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to contribute to cutting-edge procedures and patient outcomes.
Here is What Your day May Consist of :
- Provide skilled technical support during specialty and emergency surgeries , including orthopedic, soft tissue, and critical procedures.
- Perform anesthetic induction, maintenance, and monitoring , adjusting as needed for patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare surgical suites and patients for procedures, maintaining sterile technique and ensuring proper instrument handling.
- Oversee post-operative recovery and pain management , closely monitoring patient vitals and progress.
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians, fellow technicians, and clients to support optimal patient care.
- Maintain detailed surgical and anesthesia records, logs, and treatment notes.
- Assist in surgical equipment sterilization and inventory management .
- Support training and mentorship of veterinary assistants and junior technicians as needed.
Here is What You Will Bring to the Position :
Current LVT license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain).Minimum 2 years of surgical or specialty experience strongly preferred.Proficiency in anesthesia protocols, emergency response, and critical care procedures.Comfort working with a variety of species and complex medical conditions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient advocacy.Weekend / holiday on-call is requiredHere is What We Will Offer You :
