Job Description :
The BMET1 will provide hands-on support for clinical equipment under close supervision. This role involves performing calibrations, repairs, and preventative maintenance on medical devices, with a strong focus on safety, documentation, and communication. The technician will also assist with technical integration into EPIC and other systems, working closely with engineering and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities :
Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and repair biomedical equipment. Perform safety acceptance testing on new and serviced medical equipment. Document all maintenance and repair activities using equipment management software. Update / install medical equipment with security protocols and collaborate on design solutions. Assist senior technicians with complex repairs, installations, and deinstallations. Act as a customer service liaison, resolving service issues and escalating as needed. Maintain tools, supplies, and resources responsibly. Stay current on medical equipment regulations and compliance standards. Support performance improvement initiatives across the department.
