Founded in 1968 to meet the post-secondary and continuing education needs of Cecil County residents Cecil College has been serving the community and shaping its future for more than 50 years. The College is governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the governor. The Colleges fifth president Dr. Mary Way Bolt reports directly to the Board of Trustees.

Cecil College is centrally located in Marylands most northeastern county just one half mile from Interstate 95. It is easily accessible from Philadelphia and Baltimore as well as from Wilmington Delaware.

With a diverse student population Cecil College enrolls approximately 2500 credit students and 3400 non-credit students. Cecil offers associate degrees certificate programs and non-credit classes. Cecil offers a variety of associate degree and certificate programs.

JOB SUMMARY :

Semester 1 / 20 / 26 5 / 11 / 26

Instructor needed to teach PSC 105 (General Physical Science with Lab).

This course runs on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 : 30 am-11 : 50 am and integrates both lecture and lab aspects of the course.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Conduct assigned classes in accordance with the approved master course syllabus and stipulations of the department including but not limited to administering a final exam or culminating activity meeting all assigned class times and submitting attendance and grades as per college processes.
• Utilize the current College course management system. (Canvas)
• Establish post and maintain at least one-half hour before or after class meetings.
• Adhere to copyright laws provided on the Library site for the college web portal.
• Regularly and routinely check Cecil College email accounts and respond in a timely manner to emails including those from the department chair administrative staff and students. Cecil College email must be used for all email communication with students and any college business.
• Participate in Cecil College Academic Monitoring.
• Submit any Incomplete Grade Contracts to the Administrative Assistants in Academic Programs.
• Support College-wide testing and actively encourage students to participate.
• Participate in course assessment and program reports as needed.
• Complete required Safe Colleges.
• Support the mission vision and values of the College and the policies of the Board of Trustees.
• Act in accordance with the letter and spirit of applicable laws College policies rules and expectations and the terms of the contract for the current academic year.

The Fiscal Year 2026 Credit Adjunct Scale is as follows : 2 semesters of less at Cecil ($830 a credit hour for individuals with less than a Masters60 or $855 a credit hour for individuals Masters60 or a Earned Doctorate); More than 2 semesters at Cecil ($855 a credit hour for individuals with less than a Masters60 or $880 a credit hour for individuals Masters60 or a Earned Doctorate).
