Pediatric Dentist

The Pediatric Dentist will provide high-quality, comprehensive dental care to pediatric patients, including infants, children, and adolescents, in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting. The Pediatric Dentist will deliver preventive, diagnostic, and restorative dental services while creating a positive, child-friendly environment that supports the mission of improving access to care for underserved communities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Perform comprehensive oral examinations, including diagnostic radiographs.
• Provide preventive dental services such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and oral health education.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients.
• Perform restorative procedures including fillings, crowns, extractions, and pulpotomies.
• Address dental emergencies and manage acute pediatric dental issues.
• Create a supportive and calming environment to reduce patient anxiety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and families on oral hygiene practices, proper nutrition, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Participate in community outreach programs and school-based dental education initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local dental regulations and infection control protocols.
