Position: Customer Service Associate
Pay: $16 - 17/hour
Shifts: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday

The Lee Group is seeking experienced, customer-focused Customer Service Associates for professional office settings in Chesapeake, VA. This full-time, temp role is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, remain calm in the face of customer complaints, and can juggle front-line responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities of Customer Service Associates:
• Greet and assist visitors, clients, and employees in a friendly, professional manner
• Handle challenging customer complaints calmly, tactfully, and effectively
• Count and reconcile cash with accuracy; handle payments and basic transactions
• Answer and route calls using a multi-line phone system
• Monitor front desk activity and enforce visitor protocols
• Coordinate appointment scheduling and conference room bookings
• Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
• Perform administrative support including data entry, filing, and document prep
• Maintain a clean, organized reception and work area
• Assist with screening candidates calling in for work
• Other tasks as assigned
Job Qualifications of Customer Service Associates:
• Previous experience in a customer service, front desk, or administrative role
• Strong communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor under pressure
• Proven ability to count cash, handle transactions, and perform basic math functions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
• Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer work
• Frequent interaction with team members and customers
• Occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs (e.g., packages or supplies)
