Senior Software Engineer

This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Portland Oregon. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Columbia Sportswears Digital Technology (CDT) teams enable an IT infrastructure across four global brands a global supply chain and 500 geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store mobile and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Product Creation Team your primary focus will be to build solutions to support product creation based capabilities. You will design build and support software using cloud technologies (Azure AWS etc). You will report directly to the Product Creation Engineering Manager and assist with development and support activities in new and ongoing projects.

HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Analyze design build and implement microservice-based solutions using modern frameworks and cloud technologies

Execute against a backlog of User Stories and tasks within Agile tools

Utilize modern testing practices (TDD) deployment tools and frameworks

Collaborate with mentors and other members of the team in an Agile environment

YOU ARE

Able to learn new software and technologies quickly

Able to work in a collaborative team environment

Self-driven and motivated to learn asks the right questions to achieve goals

A multitasker that can manage multiple responsibilities at once and can quickly shift gears as priorities change and evolve

YOU HAVE

Professional development experience Core technologies

Knowledge of OOP design patterns and data structures

Familiarity interacting with Restful APIs

Experience working in a team environment using Agile practices

Modern software development practices including CI / CD and implementing observability of code in production
