Sous Chef – Opening Position

Upper East Side Upscale Casual Italian Restaurant

Immediate Availability Required

Seeking a talented   Sous Chef   to support our Head Chef in launching our new venue. Join our experienced ownership team with strong growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in kitchen operations, menu execution, and assist leading team
  • Prepare authentic Italian dishes with creative twists using seasonal ingredients.
  • Manage prep, inventory, costs, scheduling, and compliance.
  • Train staff and ensure food quality / consistency.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in upscale Italian restaurants; expertise in fine, authentic Italian cuisine.
  • 2+ years in supervisory role; strong organizational skills.
  • Opening experience preferred; Food handling certification preferred.
  • Immediate start.
  • Compensation

  • $1,500–1800 / week   + bonuses

    Description : Be the welcoming face of our new restaurant on the Upper East Side. We’re looking for a warm, professional Host / Hostess who can set the tone for an outstanding guest experience from the very first “hello.”

    What You’ll Do :

  • Greet guests upon arrival, manage reservations and waitlists with poise, seat guests and coordinate with servers and front-of-house team.
  • Provide information on the restaurant, help manage the flow of the dining room, assist with guest requests and first impressions.
  • Maintain front-of-house area, support team in creating a welcoming, stylish environment.
  • Who You Are :

  • Previous experience in upscale dining or hospitality is a plus.
  • Friendly, polished, excellent communication, comfortable managing busy arrival periods.
  • Compensation :

  • Hourly wage (approx. $20–$24 / hr) + tips
