Job Title : Surgeon Colon & Rectal Surgery
Job Type : Permanent Full-Time
Location : Munster, IN
Service Setting : Inpatient and Outpatient
Schedule : Monday Friday
On-Call Expectations : 1 : 4 rotation, includes General Surgery cases
Start Date : Approximately 90120 days post-offer, pending credentialing PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE
Patient Demographics : Adult patients requiring colorectal and general surgical care
Admissions & Rounding : Included
Consults & Follow-Ups : Yes
Case Mix / Clinical Focus Areas : Colon & Rectal Surgery, General Surgery FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS
EMR System : Epic HIMSS Stage VII
Specialty Backup : Nurse practitioner support in inpatient and outpatient settings
Support Staff : System physicians with a collegial culture and mentorship support
Leadership & Reporting Structure : Hospital-employed physician model
Reason for Opening : Growth and expansion of service lines CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE
Board

Requirements : BC / BE in Colon & Rectal Surgery

DEA & Certifications : CSR, DEA required

Credentialing Timeline : 90120 days COMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS

Base Salary : Highly competitive (negotiable MGMA guidelines)

State License Required : Eligibility for Indiana medical license

Certifications : DEA, CSR

Experience : Previous experience preferred but not required

Additional

Requirements : EMR proficiency (Epic), team-based care experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver inpatient and outpatient surgical care with a focus on colon and rectal procedures

Participate in call rotation for general surgery

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of providers and advanced practitioners

Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
