Job Summary
Performs direct patient care in a Clinic setting. This person will be working side by side with Dr. Buchanan, the Neurologist.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and neurological assessments
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic neurological conditions (e.g., epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson's headaches, neuropathies).
- Order and interpret Diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and EEGs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management, therapy referrals, and patient education
- Assist Neurologist with procedures as needed (e.g., lumbar puncture, EMG / NCS).
- Provide Follow up care and monitor patient progress
- Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education

Licensed in the State of Utah as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)Certification in Neurology or relevant Clinical experienceMinimum of two years Neurology experience preferredCurrent BCLS, ACLS certifications.Uintah Basin Healthcare is an equal opportunity Employer including Disabilities / Vets
