Lead Rehabilitation Aide

Reporting to the Center Manager and working under the direct supervision of licensed rehabilitation therapists, the Lead Rehabilitation Aide helps support the coordination of daily activities within the rehabilitation department. In addition to performing the standard duties of a Rehabilitation Aide, the Lead provides structure and guidance to other aides, helping to organize daily operations, maintain a safe and efficient therapy environment, and ensure effective communication among the rehabilitation team. This role serves as a liaison between the rehab aides, therapists, and Center Manager to promote smooth operations and consistent, high-quality care within the PACE program.

Key duties and responsibilities of the position include, but may not necessarily be limited to :

  • Coordinating daily treatment schedules and assisting with assignment of aide tasks.
  • Developing and maintaining a schedule for laundry, equipment cleaning, and other routine gym maintenance tasks to ensure consistent completion and compliance with infection control standards.
  • Monitoring and maintaining rehabilitation equipment, supplies, and durable medical equipment (DME); assisting with inventory tracking, ordering, and vendor communication, as indicated
  • Providing guidance and support to rehabilitation aides, promoting consistency in care practices and workflow.
  • Serving as a liaison between the rehab aide team, therapists, and Center Manager to facilitate communication and address operational needs.
  • Performing basic range of motion; routine therapeutic activities and exercise as outlined by therapist(s)
  • Conducting specialized exercise groups
  • Maintaining physical therapy ambulation programs
  • Providing modalities as outlined by treatment plan
  • Monitoring participants during exercise and ambulation for signs of distress or change of condition and reports safety concerns promptly to rehab therapists or supervisor
  • Preparing daily treatment schedule board
  • Escorting participants to and from therapy sessions
  • Monitoring client's equipment and report need for minor repair and / or equipment ordering
  • Completing all routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including laundry, clinic equipment, inventory supplies and rehab supplies
  • Adhering to infection control policies, HIPAA regulations, and other compliance standards.
  • Demonstrating sensitivity to the physical, emotional and cognitive needs of a diverse population
  • Actively participating in, and encouraging actions that promote good public relations with participants, their families, friends and visitors
  • Performing all other reasonably related jobs as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED Equivalence
  • 1 year of experience working with a geriatric population
  • Ability to speak English clearly and comprehend complex materials
  • Knowledge of body mechanics, basic anatomy, physiology and basic medical terminology
  • Ability to work and interact in an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to follow directions without constant supervision
  • Strong time management and computer literacy skills
  • Leadership in a team-based environment
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a PACE or Adult Day Health setting
  • Experience coordinating schedules, inventory management, and / or team tasks in a healthcare setting.
  • Bilingual abilities in Spanish or Chinese.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. and transfer 50 lbs.
  • Ability to reach, bend and walk
  • Five finger dexterities
  • Compensation :

    Range : $23 - $28 / hourly
