Position Highlights : CT7B Advanced Care
Unit Size : 24 bedsPatient Population : Our Advanced Care Unit specializes in the care of acutely unstable patients who require advanced assessments and interventions but do not meet Intensive Care criteria. This includes complex multi-trauma, uncompensated sepsis, continuous non-invasive ventilation, stroke, complicated withdrawal from substances, and DKA. We also host an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) for patients undergoing seizure evaluations.Nurse to Patient Ratio : 1 : 3Department Culture : Experience a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where collaboration with physicians and ancillary team members is key to achieving the best patient outcomes. Our robust Partnership Committee meets monthly, and we have dedicated educators and supervisors to support your growth.Skills & Equipment : Engage in minimum Q4 hour full RN assessments, Q2 hour vital signs, continuous cardiac monitoring, and various procedures including Foley / IV / NG insertions and arterial line care. Common IV drips include amiodarone, diltiazem, insulin for DKA, and more.Qualifications
Certifications :Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year (AHA)
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days (AHA)Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)Education : High School Diploma / GEDResponsibilities
Perform all unit-specific responsibilities and duties.Implement procedures and theories related to your area of practice.Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care to ensure seamless integration of information for the healthcare team.Conduct initial assessments upon patient admission and develop tailored care plans.Continuously evaluate and modify care plans based on patient needs.Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting and addressing hazards.Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide constructive feedback.Monitor EMU patients for seizure activity 24 / 7.Engage in meaningful hourly rounding and bedside shift reports to enhance patient communication.About Us

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $35.22 - $60.58 per hour . This range reflects a good faith minimum and maximum for the role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on various factors including experience, qualifications, and shifts worked.
