Entry-Level Engineer

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking entry-level engineers for our South Florida Offices for a variety of water-related assignments in various engineering disciplines (, Environmental, Civil, Chemical, etc.). These assignments may include a wide range of water, wastewater, stormwater, reuse, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including sampling studies, condition assessments, process modeling, hydraulics, and design reports
• Manage data for process modeling and design
• Attend client and internal project management meetings
• Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment
• Support multiple projects from planning through construction
• Participate in fieldwork and site visits

Required Qualifications:

• EIT or plan to obtain within 2 years
• 0-5 years of experience
• Possess excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer software typically used (, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong organizational skills
• degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (other engineering degrees considered case by case)
• Conducts self-quality reviews before submitting work for additional QA/QC
• Proficiency in GIS, CAD/BIM, BioWin, PowerBI, and other software
